Samantha is from Oklahoma city and graduated as Valedictorian from Carl Albert High School in 2015 at the age of 17. She was a student Rotarian and member of Key Club, Student Council, and National Honor Society. She was on the volleyball and pom teams. She is now a junior at Oklahoma State University, where she is pursuing an Animal Science degree with a focus in Pre-Veterinary Science. She is on the Big Committee for CowboyThon, a member of Pre-Vet club, a member of Alpha Zeta Honor Society, and a volunteer at Turning Point Therapeutic Riding Ranch.
Her love for animals and her passion for helping others made the perfect combination and she established her personal platform “Pets as Partners.” Samantha’s mission for her platform is to help educate people about the wide range of disabilities and how service animals greatly affect their confidence in everyday tasks, as well as their outlook on life and overall mental health. By introducing the idea that service animals have super important jobs and duties to their owners in classrooms during school visits, Samantha is able to open conversations about responsibility and achieving goals.
This is Samantha’s third year competing for the job of Miss Oklahoma, as she was previously Miss Green Country 2016 and Miss Route 66 2017. Samantha is humbled to represent the wonderful city of Piedmont as Miss Piedmont 2018 at Miss Oklahoma this June!
